My career in the computer industry spans more than two decades, during which time I have gained extensive experience with a wide variety of systems, software, and peripheral equipment and have become proficient with several programming languages. The first ten years of my career were spent as a photo technician and printed circuit designer. During that time I gained experience with many CAD/CAM systems and plotters. In 1995 my career shifted to the Internet and I began learning database design, system administration and web development. I have learned most of the quirks of IE, Firefox and Opera and I know how to design web pages for strict standards compliance. I have experience writing project specifications and documenting databases and work flows. I am currently a Senior Programmer Analyst at San Mateo Credit Union.
| San Mateo Credit Union, Redwood City, CA | 2005 - Present |

Currently supporting the Electronic Delivery Group by providing programming, system administration and technical assistance to users and I.T. staff. Responsible for database administration, system monitoring, network backups, restoration, upgrades and security patches. Installed and configured SharePoint Services 3.0. Developed automation utilities for data import/export and file handling. Created a tracking system for customer service personnel using ASP, with MSSQL.
| Contract Consultant | 2003 - 2005 |
|---|
After Stanford sold the CyberBranch service organization to the CGI Group, I became a contract consultant. My clients included CGI Group Inc., Broward Schools Credit Union, Commonwealth Central Credit Union and San Mateo Credit Union. For my clients I wrote CGI scripts for online auto loan, mortgage, HELOC, membership and job applications using Perl and PHP. I also wrote utilities to extract application data and generate FNMA formatted data for the FICS LoanWare system.
| Stanford Federal Credit Union, Palo Alto, CA | 1998 - 2003 |

While at Stanford, I managed a few web development projects including the configuration of a web server farm for other credit unions. I authored a complete set of CGI scripts for loan applications, calculators, remote editing and administration tools that later became the CyberBranch product, currently owned by Open Solutions Inc. Additionally, I collaborated with another freelance consultant to develop a few browser-based applications such as e- statements and a signature-card viewer. My most valuable contribution while at Stanford was a delinquent-loan collections system that I authored using Perl and MsSql.
| Contract Consultant | 1993 - 1998 |
|---|
After I was laid off from Everex, I became a freelance designer. I provided PCB design services for Belias Designs, Johnson Controls and Silicon Valley Consultants. Around ’95, my former Impak boss invited me to help him with a few projects at Stanford Federal Credit Union. This was a turning point in my career as I discovered the Internet and CGI programming. I continued as a consultant for another three years until I decided to hire on full time at Stanford.
| Everex Systems Inc., Fremont, CA | 1989 - 1993 |

Collaborated with hardware engineers and vendors in the development of PC motherboards, memory cards and hard disk drives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Created and maintained component library and trained group members in CAD system usage. Designed high-density, multi-layer SMT printed circuit boards for personal computers and peripherals using PADS-PCB design system. Experienced in all aspects of PCB production including schematics capture, layout, manual routing and auto-routing. Produced mechanical drawings, Gerber data and CNC drill data.
| Seagate Technology, Scotts Valley, CA | 1987 - 1989 |
|---|
Setup and operated photo lab for the production of PCB film used in the manufacture of hard drives. Trained support staff in proper usage of CAM system operation, film processing and preventative maintenance. Experienced with operation of McDonnell Detwiller FIRE 9000 raster-laser photo plotter and Dupont film processor. Experience writing CLI shell scripts on Data General AOS/VS system and REXX scripts on the IBM 3090.
| Impak Design Inc., Fremont, CA | 1982 - 1987 |
|---|
At Impak Design, I gained experience in all aspects of printed circuit film production and was exposed to several different CAD/CAM systems and peripheral equipment. My responsibilities included Gerber photo plotter operation and maintenance, Dupont film processor operation and maintenance, contact negative production, and PC artwork digitizing using the Calma digitizing system. I also gained proficiency at schematic interpretation and component layout and routing. I have had experience with small and large, digital and analog designs utilizing through-hole and surface-mounted components on high-density multi-layer boards. Additionally, I wrote various utilities to assist in the development of printed circuit boards. One particularly valuable APL program that I wrote for designing DUT boards generated a set of circular coordinates for pad placement and drew higher resolution circular traces than the built-in system commands. Because of my program, we were able to exceed our competitor’s capabilities using the same equipment.
| Atari Inc., Sunnyvale, | 1981 – 1982 |
|---|
Atari was my first Silicon Valley job. Because of my previous experience with electronics, I started out on the QA line repairing defective assemblies and testing PC boards using a bed-of-nails tester. Within a few months I was transferred to the auto-insertion department. There I operated discrete component sequencing and insertion machines and DIP insertion machines.
My skills include object oriented programming, system administration, database design and administration, and web server installation and configuration. My favorite editor is UltraEdit and I am also a firm believer in test driven development. I have experience with each of the following technologies:
